Scoped Rifle 1 (2 Day)

Service Description

This two day foundational precision rifle course takes new shooters from core concepts to consistent, repeatable hits out to distance. Through a crawl walk run progression, students advance from close range work toward longer engagements while learning scope and rifle terminology, sighting systems, match grade ammunition selection, basic external ballistics, and atmospheric effects. Emphasis is placed on rifle fit, a repeatable shot process, and disciplined data book habits so students can diagnose impacts and reproduce success under changing conditions. (Note: the course introduces long range concepts but does not require shooting to extreme distances.) What you’ll learn • Scope and rifle terminology, MOA vs. MILS, and scope setup/mounting • Basic external ballistics and how wind, pressure, and temperature affect trajectory • How to adjust scopes on demand and record adjustments in a data book • Fundamentals of precision marksmanship and a consistent shot process applied to every shot • Cleaning, maintenance, and function checks for rifle and optic Course format & requirements • Two full days of combined classroom and extensive range work (approx. 300 rounds) using progressive targets • Crawl, walk, run training methodology with continuous coaching and enforced fundamentals Performance outcomes by course completion students will be able to: • Select appropriate ammunition and configure a rifle/scope for precision work • Apply marksmanship fundamentals and a disciplined shot process to achieve tight groups (target: 1–1.5 MOA) • Record and interpret data in a data book and make accurate scope adjustments • Engage targets accurately from alternate positions and maintain safe, consistent equipment handling • Demonstrate a solid foundation for continued precision rifle training and field applications Limited class size ensures personalized coaching — early registration recommended.
