Overview Advanced Rifle develops practical rifle skills for students ready to move beyond static marksmanship. This full day, range intensive course emphasizes efficient target transitions, movement, positional shooting, barricade work, and teamwork under realistic, performance focused drills. Who it’s for Intermediate to advanced rifle shooters who are comfortable with basic manipulations, immediate action, and safe live fire practice. Ideal for competitive shooters, professionals, and serious recreational shooters seeking dynamic, application based skill development. What you’ll practice (Time and Range Dependent) • Multiple target transitions drills to drive the rifle efficiently between targets • Drills for rapid, accurate follow ups • Build rhythm, sequencing, and trigger control under stress • Pivots, turns, and movement initiated engagements (Look — Turn — Shoot) • Shooting while moving • Alternate shooting positions with a focus on natural point of aim and sling support • Barricade techniques (standing, kneeling, roll over prone), cover vs. concealment, and sling/bracing methods • Culmination buddy team exercise Format & requirements • Full day, instructor led range course with progressive dry fire and extensive live fire repetitions. • Planned live fire round count ~500–600 rounds (bring multiple magazines). • Required gear: quality semi automatic rifle, 3+ loaded magazines (30 round mags common), sturdy belt, sling, eye/ear protection, appropriate clothing/footwear, hydration. • Class pace is performance driven; full attendance required. Outcomes Graduates will demonstrate faster, smoother target transitions; improved movement to shoot accuracy; reliable positional shooting across kneeling/seated/prone; effective barricade techniques.
